In 1988, the town of Lowell, Massachusetts, USA, erected a commemorative Park to the writer Jack Kerouac. Located at the corner of Bridge and French Streets in the heart of Lowell, it comprises eight pink granite slabs from Minnesota, eight feet tall by four feet wide, on which excerpts from ten of Jack Kerouac's most famous books are etched. The park was created by Ben Woitena, an artist from Houston, Texas.
