KIROUAC FAMILY ASSOCIATION INC.
It is composed of three main elements: the Breton flag, province of origin of our ancestor in France, the Quebec flag which recalls his adopted land and the letter K which refers to the first letter of our family name.
The black bands of the Breton flag are slightly wavy to remind us that our ancestor left Brittany for New France by boat. The three fleur-de-lis on the Quebec flag represent the three brothers who, according to family legend, left Brittany to settle in New France. Of these three flowers, the one on the left, at the bottom, represents the one who, still according to this legend, would have died during the crossing, the one on the right at the top, the one who would have been named Alexander and the one on the right at the bottom, the one who would have stock to establish the line of Kirouac of America, Maurice Louis Le Bris de Kervoach, known as Alexandre de Kervoach, the Breton. Genealogical research carried out since the creation of the Association has however clearly demonstrated that only one Kervoach came to New France.
Raymond Bergeron's composition also includes two colors, black representing Brittany and blue representing Quebec.
